Windows 11 update 24H2 and Remote Desktop Connection

Before update all fine, after update not so much.

I will insert before and after pictures:

After update it did something with the video drivers or settings:

And this was with the Highest Quality (32 bit) setting in the Display configuration in RDC. If I set it to 16 bit then some background colors are completely transparant. You can test it easy by moving a window in a RDC. It will leave a trace of borders:

Tested it on 3 different devices so it has to be something in the update 24H2

    Hello,

    Could you please provide your OS version and Remote Desktop Connection (RDC) version?

    To check your OS version:

    1. Press Windows Key + R to open the Run dialog box.
    2. Type winver in the text field and press Enter or click OK. Image

    To check your RDC version:

    1. Open the Remote Desktop Connection window.
    2. Click on the icon in the top-left corner and select About from the dropdown menu.

    As a temporary solution, would you consider using the Windows App available from the Microsoft Store?

    I am sorry but did you try to recreate the problem with version 21H2 while I explicitly stated that the problem is version 24H2?

    I will show you what you asked for from computer A that is updated with version 24H2:

    I have another computer with version 23H2 that doesn't have this problem:

    And finally I tested the same thing on a laptop where there is no problem when the version is 23H2, when I updated the laptop to 24H2 I have the problem and when I de-install 24H2 and go back to 23H2 the problem is gone.

    To me it is clear that the problem lies in the update 24H2 but who knows?

    Some additional info which might be helpful: I use a DrayTek Smart VPN Client to setup a SSL VPN Tunnel connection to the server before I use the RDC desktop software. This server is pretty old so that might have something to do with it.

    My users are having this issue as well and the new remote desktop in the windows store doesn't work but the old one does
