I am unable to open many apps in the C drive because the computer is unable to locate certain files in the App Data section which i couldn't find at all. Can't run Ubuntu for my college work either.

The apps section in the C drive has two files:

  1. 7VDFT
  2. YR2T2

now untill a few days back my C drive had only 10 GB space out of 220GB. Suddenly today i see theres over 77 GB free space in it. Somehow most of my C drive content is gone. I can't use certain applications like Ubuntu or Zoom which were in the C drive. Their icons are also not showing, cannot even uninstall in some cases:

Error shown: "The system cannot fnd the file specified."

Now, in the above two files mentioned, theres a bunch of items which is showing it can't be parsed. I dont know what it means.

    Hi,

Please verify if the files and applications are still present. Also check the Recycle Bin to ensure that important files haven't been accidentally deleted and moved to the Recycle Bin.

If the files are missing, run CHKDSK to check for disk errors. Open Command Prompt as an administrator, type chkdsk C: /f /r and press Enter. Follow the prompts to schedule a scan on the next restart.

If chkdsk found no errors on your disk, then the files could be deleted. You can reinstall the applications or try some third-party data recovery tools to recover your data. Do not continue writing to disk to avoid overwriting the original data.
