Hello,
Welcome to Microsoft Q&A,
If I understand your situation right,
- You added a new domain (e.g., yourcompany.com) in Microsoft 365.
- Some emails are going to the old domain (e.g., yourcompany.onmicrosoft.com) or are not being delivered at all.
- MX records or aliases may not be correctly configured, causing routing conflicts.
Please make sure the following are configured correctly,
- Verify the New Domain Is Fully Set Up in Microsoft 365
- Check MX Records in Azure DNS
- Update User Mailboxes to Use the New Domain
- Check for Duplicate Email Aliases or Forwarding Rules
- Test with Microsoft Remote Connectivity Tool
- Wait for DNS Propagation (if changes were recent)
- It can take up to 24–48 hours for DNS changes (MX, SPF) to fully propagate globally
