When will windows 12 be out? I'm looking forward to installing it, my computer is running windows 11 on an unsupported pc using flyby11 right now. Couple questions. 1. Since I have unsupported hardware and I'm running windows 11 via. download for flyby11, will I still be able to upgrade to Windows 12 (and possibly, maybe another unsupported hardware issue?). 2. When will it be out in the first place? I've heard that it was supposedly supposed to come out in 2024, now 2025. 3. How are the people developing Windows 12 doing? I know rarely anyone asks this. I hope you don't mind; but I always like to check in on how the developers are doing. Plus, are the rumors on the floating taskbar true?

Curious on an unsupported pc (Lenovo ThinkPad T450s),

    Dear Peijlie,

There is currently no official release date for Windows 12.

While there is no confirmed release date from Microsoft, the consensus in the tech community, based on industry trends and insider reports, points to a potential release in the fall of 2025 at the earliest. Initial rumors of a 2024 release are now widely believed to have been referring to the significant Windows 11 24H2 update, which incorporates new AI features.

Here are more detailed answers to your questions:

    1. Upgrading on Unsupported Hardware Given that your Lenovo ThinkPad T450s is running Windows 11 on unsupported hardware via a workaround, it is highly likely you will face a similar situation with Windows 12. Microsoft is expected to maintain or even increase the strict hardware requirements seen with Windows 11, focusing on modern processors and security features like TPM 2.0.

It is probable that the community of developers and enthusiasts will find methods to bypass these checks for Windows 12, similar to the tools and techniques used for Windows 11. However, this is not guaranteed and running a future operating system on unsupported hardware may lead to instability, and the loss of security and feature updates

    Best Regards
