How can we Exclude IP Ranges in MS Ads like we do in Google Ads?

In Google Ads, multiple variation of IP ranges (IPv6, IPv4, Wild Card) can be excluded. Is there a way to do so in Bing / MS Ads? Just noticed that they accept only specific IP or one with WildCard. Apparently MS Ads don't have the same targeting option like in Google Ads.

Am I missing something? Or MS Ads don't have the facility to exclude IP ranges in IPv4 format?

    Hello FZ_ALI,

Thank you for using our Microsoft Advertising Community Forum!

I understand that you want to exclude a variety of IP ranges on Microsoft Advertising. To block specific IP addresses from seeing your ads, you can keep in mind the following:

    • IP exclusions must be added at the campaign level, not the ad group level.
    • You can exclude a maximum of 100 IP addresses (or IP address ranges) per campaign.
    • You can only exclude IPv4 addresses. These addresses must include all four octets, each with an integer that ranges from 0 - 255. Only the last octet can be a wildcard character (*). For example,127.0.0.*. This would include all IP addresses from 127.0.0.0 to 127.0.0.255.

    You can follow these steps:

    1. From the collapsible menu on the left, select Campaigns.
    2. Select the checkbox next to the name of the campaign that you want to edit.
    3. Select Edit > Other changes.
    4. From the Campaign settings dropdown menu, select IP address exclusions.
    5. Enter the IP addresses that you want to be blocked from seeing your ads in the box. Enter one IP address per line. You can also add a range of addresses using a wildcard character (*).
    6. Select Apply.

Are there any advanced facilities by which we can target telecom operators which is not, perhaps, accessible to all the Advertisers?

I have a list of 1000 IP ranges which can't be excluded due to the exclusion limit of Bing Ads. And without Operator Targeting, we will be buying clicks from audience we won't need.

Any workaround to either facilitate IP / Operator Targeting or maximize IP Exclusion Limit to 1000?

    Hi FZ_ALI,

Thanks for the response. I'm afraid there are no special advanced facilities for targeting telecom operators per se or to increase the IP exclusions. You can perhaps consider adding more URLs to your website exclusion lists and refining your targeting options. Getting your ad in front of the right people—that's what targeting is all about. With targeting, Microsoft Advertising can help you focus a campaign or ad group on potential customers who meet specific criteria, so you can increase the chance that they see your ads. To learn how, see How to target customers. There are four ways to target your ads. You can use these individually or in combination. The four options are: 'Geographic location', 'Day of the week or time of day', 'Device Type', and 'Age and gender'. For instance, You can target by the type of device your potential customer is using — computer, tablet, or smartphone — giving you greater control over who sees your ads.
