No impressions at all

Dear people,

I just started with Microsoft Advertising. My ad is approved and running now. But I get no clicks and impressions. I already changed the bids and also set my keywords to broad. I'm wondering what could be wrong. I know that I have a low budget per day, and my bids mostly are the minimum acquired. It would be wonderful if someone could help me out.

Kind regards,

Daan

    Hi Daan,

Thank you for reaching out to Microsoft Advertising Support! I understand you are not receiving traffic or performance to your ads and I am here to help!

There can be many factors that can affect and prevent your ad from displaying and generating traffic. When this occurs, we have a helpful feature called, Ad Delivery, which states the status of your ad/keyword and what is preventing your ad from displaying. You can find the Delivery status of your ads and keywords by hovering over the ellipses on the UI columns. I have provided an image for a better understanding of where to find the Ad delivery status.

For more information and an in-depth explanation of how to resolve the specific delivery status you will receive, please click here: Delivery status.

If you are unable to identify a diagnostic via Delivery status, I recommend reviewing and utilizing the troubleshooting steps listed in the following link: Are my ads live?

Additionally, you mentioned that your bids are set to the minimum requirement and that your daily budget may be low. This may be the largest issue causing your ads to be ineligible to serve. It is very important to bid competitively to show our system that you want to be displayed with or above your competitors (if your bids and budget are too low, you will not display at all). Best practice for bidding is usually around a one dollar bid; however, it really depends on your business/product/service market. I recommend trying out different bids and monitoring the difference they make. Please note, what you bid is not what the pay-per-click amount is and the pay-per-click is usually always much lower than the set bid.

Once you have attempted the troubleshooting steps above and determined your ads are still not generating performance - I would love to investigate further to have a better understanding of how to help enable traffic for your ads. I must first verify your account via phone call and gather some account specific information. Please check your private messages to move forward with verifying.

I hope you find this information helpful! Should you have any questions, concerns, or need clarification on any of this information, please do not hesitate to let me know! I am here to help you!

    Sincerely,
