How do I get my business in the top results on maps?

I noticed the other day that our business isn't showing in the results for maps. So when people type a keyword that is extremely relevant to our company. All people see in the top results for "stores near you" are all our competitors. Why don't we show up at all? I have a geo paid search campaign running for the business as well that includes all relevant broad match keywords. But this campaign doesn't seem to effect maps. How do I make it so that we show up in maps? It showing only our competitors is not great for business. I have already created a "Bing Places for Business" profile so its not that either.

Also should be worth mentioning that we can't create a merchant center product feed because we are a second quality distributor (similar to tj max) and we have to protect brand names. Google makes it pretty clear how to advertise in maps. But I'm having so much run around trying to figure this out on Microsoft. Just wondering if anyone had any answers for me on what I could do.

    I am Anmol Bhatia (PM, Bing Places for Business). You mentioned that you have an account with Bing Places. I would love to learn more about the issue you faced. Would be great if you can share some of the below details:

    1. Name of your business
    2. Address of your business
    3. Keyword you used to search

    Also, my understanding is that you are facing below 2 key issues:

    1. Your business is not showing in the organic results for a query that you believe should direct search users to your business
    2. Using our geo paid search campaign has also not helped in showcasing your business on maps
