Hi, Kevin Berry.
To set up different notification sounds for email and text messages on your Surface Duo 2, you can follow these steps:
- Open the Settings app on your Surface Duo 2. You can access it by swiping down from the top of the screen and tapping on the gear icon in the top right corner of the notification panel.
- In the Settings menu, scroll down and tap on Notifications & actions.
- In the Notifications & actions settings, you will see a list of apps installed on your device. Scroll down and locate the email app you use (e.g., Outlook, Gmail) and tap on it.
- In the app's notification settings, you should see options such as Show notifications, Sound, Vibrate, etc. Tap on the Sound option.
- Here, you can select a different notification sound specifically for email notifications. Tap on the sound option, and you will be able to choose from the available notification sounds or browse for a custom sound file if you have one.
- After selecting the desired sound, navigate back to the previous screen and locate the messaging app you use (e.g., Messages, WhatsApp) in the list of apps.
- Repeat the same steps as above, but this time, select a different notification sound for text message notifications.
By following these steps, you can customize the notification sounds for your email and text message apps on the Surface Duo 2. This way, you'll be able to distinguish between the two types of notifications based on the sound they produce.
