Surface Duo: can no longer launch Edge on each screen
Since a recent update I have lost the ability to have an instance of Edge on each screen. Attempting to launch a second just shifts the "original" instance to the other screen.
If I want side by side viewing of two web pages I have to use a second browser such as Chrome, which is annoying.

I don't think that's what the OP was looking for. When this first happened I uninstalled the update that broke this functionality to get it back. I have not been updating the Edge app since as the ability to open two instances of Edge using an app group is important to me.

2021-10-16T17:14:34+00:00 Thanks! While this does allow me access to the second instance of Edge, it still seems unnecessarily inconvenient.
This used to be extremely straightforward - when activating Edge from the home screen, if Edge was already open on the other screen it would launch the "other" instance. I could dismiss Edge on either screen, temporarily use another app, and switch back to Edge by tapping its icon on the home screen, all without any disruption to the first instance.
Now I have to find any random link in the primary instance, long-press, and open in new window, then close the unwanted tab, which seems excessive.
That said, this is at least a functional workaround for now. Once I actually have two instances, the app switcher interface works well enough.
