Hello FEMAD,
Welcome to Microsoft Community.
If you want to try to solve the problems your Surface Duo is experiencing without the help of a Computer, here are some suggestions:
- Since you did not provide any error information here, only to inform us that we could not install the update, I may first consider whether it is the fault caused by network problems. Check your Internet connection to make sure your Surface Duo 2 is connected to a stable Wi-Fi network.
- Restart your Surface Duo 2 if necessary, and then try to receive the update and install again.
- Make sure your Surface Duo 2 is at least 50% charged.
- If the above several processes cannot solve this problem, please try to restore the factory Settings: Reset Surface Duo to factory settings - Microsoft Support
Everything could be done only on the Surface Duo, please back up all your data before attempting to reset your Surface Duo, please read the information in the support link above for details.
But if you're having problems with resetting, or if you're not good at doing these things, then I recommend you get in touch with the Surface Duo tech support team to do them under the guidance of live support.
I can guide you on how to connect with Surface Duo's live support, but just a friendly reminder that you need a Windows device to connect with the tech support team:
- Use your personal Microsoft account (not your organization account) to access the following links:
- Type Surface Duo, press Enter, and click "Contact Support" at the bottom:
- Select Technical Support and select the device model you are currently using in Produce family, then click Confirm:
- You will see contact options for Chat support and Phone support, please contact them during business hours:
If you would like support to be able to reach you by phone, please leave a different phone number (not the one you are currently using with the Surface Duo).
I wish you all the best.
Best Regards,
Mitchell | Microsoft Community Support Specialist
