I am in an environment where I can not have wireless devices. I recently got a Surface Duo (gen 1) and I already had the Surface Headphones (gen 1).

I connected my Headphones to my Duo with a USB type C. When I started playing my audiobook, I could not get the music to play through the USB port. What can I do to enable this feature.

    Good afternoon Gauntlet_KI,

The Surface Headphones do not have a function that allow incoming audio through the USB-C port. We recommend that you use a USB-C to 3.5mm adaptor HERE to connect using a audio jack to the Surface Duo.

That is just crazy that I have to use an adapter to an older technology connector to do this. It is like going from a HDMI and having to convert it down to VGA to obtain audio.
