Windows update keeps failing

Hi,

Why does KB2267602 still appear in Windows Update even though I manually updated the Defender definitions?

It keeps:

Downloading..

Installing..

Downloading..

Installing..

I have tried stop/start service, delete software distribution, restart the server.

But it keeps showing the same?

Appreciate any help.

    Hi Monay,

    How often does KB2267602 appear on Windows Update?

    A new set of definitions is released every 3-4 hours under the same KB number (i.e., KB2267602). So, it's normal to see KB2267602 appearing when you check for updates.

    Open PowerShell admin and run:

    get-mpcomputerstatus

get-mppreference

    Copy the output and post it here.
