Surface Duo screen cast broken following update

Hello Everyone.

Been rocking this Surface Duo since day one. Through the updates the screen casting has had various issues for me, but yesterday Mar, 1 2022 an update has virtually broken this feature on my device.

My Duo is an ATT unit, no issues other than this. So, following this recent update, if I attempt to cast to any screen other than my Sony Brovia TV what I see is a gray screen, with green and black rectangles and squares. Audio is heard fine but the image is this gray, green and black mosaic that does not move.

I have tested this now on every screen in my place and tested this with a Firestick, 3 of Microsoft's own wireless display adapters, a Samsung TV, a TCL TV and a Sony TV. The only screen this now works correctly with is the Sony, and that is the only display that's running the Android TV OS on it.

I've attempted to disable and re-enable the wireless display in the casting options (which was a workaround I used for previous updates that messed up screen casting) but that has not had an impact this time.

Am curious if anyone else is running into this issue? My next step is to try factory resetting my phone, but that is a huge pain with all this 2FA that I would need to set back up for multiple apps so hoping to avoid that. But I use this casting feature all the time so may try it anyway.

I don't know what you use for 2FA, Microsoft Authenticator backups this information. Do recovery is much easier. Your apps should restrain their 2FA settings as that's server side.

As to casting, I use Chromecast frequently.

Same problem post update, literally exact. Also using an MS wireless display adapter that has been flawless for a year.
