Just to confirm, the issue happens on either of the devices paired (PC or iPhone)?
Do you see a solid white light while the case is open and not plugged in? This indicates that the case and both earbuds are sufficiently charged.
Please check on the Surface Audio app also if both earbuds have sufficient battery.
Kindly try these steps first to troubleshoot the issue on your Surface Earbuds and see if the issue persist:
1: Restart host device
Try restating the devices that you use with the Surface Earbuds (PC and iPhone)
2: Unpair and re-pair via Bluetooth settings
3: Check if a firmware update is available for your Surface Earbuds
