    Hi, MBB 45!

Thanks for letting us know that your Surface Duo's battery indicator is showing a "?" symbol, it indicates that the device is experiencing an issue with detecting the battery level accurately. This could be a sign of a battery or software-related problem. Since your device had shut down previously and didn't restart for a day, it's essential to address this issue promptly. Here are some steps you can try to troubleshoot and resolve the problem:

    1. Restart the Device: First, try a simple restart by pressing and holding the Power button until the Power options menu appears. Then select "Restart" and see if the battery indicator returns to normal after the restart.
    2. Check for System Updates: Ensure that your Surface Duo has the latest software updates installed. Go to Settings > System > System Update and check for any available updates. Installing the latest updates can help fix bugs and improve device performance.
    3. Charge the Device: Connect your Surface Duo to the charger and let it charge for a while. Sometimes, the battery indicator issue might be due to a temporary battery calibration problem. Charging the device can help recalibrate the battery sensor.
    4. Perform a Soft Reset: If the battery indicator issue persists, perform a soft reset. To do this, press and hold the Volume Down and Power buttons simultaneously for about 15 seconds. Release the buttons when the Surface logo appears, and the device will restart.
    5. Battery Calibration: If the problem continues, consider calibrating the battery. To do this, use the device until the battery runs out completely, and the device turns off. Then charge it to 100% without interruption. This process can help recalibrate the battery sensor.
    6. Check for Hardware Issues: If none of the above steps resolve the problem, there may be a hardware issue with the battery or the battery sensor. You can feel free to contact us,
