Edge Crashes Windows 7

Circumstances require me to keep my Windows 7 64-Bit running. A few weeks ago I removed Chrome because it crashed my system too many times to where I had to disassemble the network and powercycle. Yesterday the recently updated Edge caused the same crash. The pages would not open and that warning box, "Page Unresponsive" dropped down. I closed out right away. Then I tried to open SeaMonkey. The system crashed without SeaMonkey opening. When SeaMonkey crashes, it only crashes the program without shutting down the system. About a year ago my system got damaged so that it crashed frequently. I am guessing Chrome, Zoom or some combination caused the damage. My Office programs no longer open. Firefox has occasions where it crashes the system too. This is the first time Edge did this. I am using my Mac Catalina to post this, which only has Firefox and Safari and has not yet crashed. Can Microsoft fix Chrome? These crashes might be due to my use of Google Apps, my most used one is GMAIL. I have to leave that computer alone for awhile. Windows will not run. I hope this corrects itself. This is reminiscent of last year.

Yesterday the recently updated Edge caused the same crash.

If a program crashes, there will usually be a crash report in the event log. If Windows crashes, there may be a crash report, depending on circumstances. Event Viewer is thus the first place to look for details of what is happening. Press Windows key + R to open a Run box, type eventvwr and press Enter to open the event viewer. You'll find program crash reports marked as Error in the Windows Logs > Application log and OS crashes in the Windows Logs > System log.

Edge has its own crashpad recording details of what's going on if the program crashes.

Your best way forward is to submit feedback to the Edge team explaining exactly what happens. Use precise terms, not your interpretation of text you see (I don't think there's any error message in Edge that reads Page Unresponsive, for example). To submit feedback, in Edge press Alt-Shift-i or click  (Settings and more) > Help and feedback > Send feedback. Include diagnostic data and a screenshot if appropriate, and it should help to attach the latest file or two from the folder

    %localappdata%\Microsoft\Edge\User Data\Crashpad\reports

If you include an email address, you'll receive an acknowledgement and probably a request for further data.
