Edge Keeps crashing: Mac Book 14" M1 Mac OS 13.2.1

I just went back to Brave, after having to force-close edge numerous times a day, because sites stop working.

If you stay for a while on any site, the top menu row, or sometimes the submenu row, stop responding to clicks. It plagues every tab after a while, and I have to force quit the browser (because often it doesn't quit) and then restart.

I love the new Edge! Love the sidebar implementation and the Read aloud, and even Bing is becoming more accurate and different than Google. But the constant crashing is just crazy.

I have gone through a few updates. I have tried the Beta. I have reset, cleared the cache. Still the same: top of sites stop responding after a while.

Please fix it!

Thank you!

Good day Mark, thanks for your question. I am glad to be able to provide assistance to you today. Apologies on this experience and it will also be best if you can provide a feedback via the browser if you will be able to and if you also have a device that is running on Windows you can also cascade it from there via the Feedback Hub app by pressing Windows key + F so that the team that is working on MS Edge for Mac OS can check and work on this and hopefully this will be sorted on the next update and also in the event that you will be trying out a different version soon I would also suggest to do the below before trying it out. You can also clean up any remnants of MS Edge on your device if there is any by checking the following from the hidden ~/Library folder.

    /Library/Application Support/Microsoft Edge

    /Library/Caches/Microsoft Edge

    /Library/Saved Application State/com.microsoft.edgemac.savedState

    /Library/WebKit/com.microsoft.edgemac

    /Library/Preferences/com.microsoft.edgemac.plist

    Regards,

    Paul R.

Thanks, Paul! I have submitted feedback through Edge, and will try to clean up as you suggested before I try it again.

It's actually really impressive what MS has done with Edge, it'd be close to the perfect browser it it didn't crash.

It also loses pinned tabs on restart for me, but that I caould have lived with since the side bar works great.
