Sound Keys not working

Hi there! My sound keys on my Dell Microsoft Laptop are not working, the mute sound button opens a Microsoft Edge help & learning tab, and the + sound button opens the "find" action in my Microsoft Edge taskbar. I don't know why this is happening or how I can fix it, can someone help?

    Are those action keys on the function keys (F1 - F12) on your laptop?

    If so, if you press the Fn key + a function key, does that produce the correct action?

    If so, press the Fn Key + Esc for a second to see if that reverses the need to use the Fn key

    If that does not work, boot your laptop onto BIOS (F2 on the Dell logo screen) then look for a Media Keys - Function Keys setting and change that setting . . .
