Hi Welcome to Microsoft community.I completely understand your frustration for the experience you've had while trying to connect with Microsoft's Help Desk. Microsoft has not stopped providing support; however, there can be several reasons why you're encountering these issues:

    1. High Volume of Calls: Sometimes, due to high demand, particularly during peak times or after major updates, the support lines can get overwhelmed, leading to connectivity issues or premature call endings.
    2. Technical Glitches: Like any large system, Microsoft's support infrastructure can occasionally experience technical problems or software bugs that affect call routing or connection stability. These are usually temporary and are addressed as soon as they're identified.
    3. Miscommunication in Ticket Management: The closure of your ticket without resolution might be an error or a misunderstanding in the system or by a support agent. This could be due to a mistake in updating ticket status or incorrect information being logged.
    4. System Updates or Maintenance: Microsoft might be undergoing system updates or maintenance that temporarily affects the support services, leading to issues like the one you're experiencing.

Here are some steps you might consider to resolve or bypass these issues:

    • Try Different Times: Attempt to call at different times, perhaps early in the morning or later in the evening when call volumes might be lower.
    • Use Online Support Options: You can access these through the Microsoft Support website.
    • Check for Known Issues: Visit the Microsoft Service Status page to see if there are any known issues with support services that might explain your experience.
    • Reopen Your Support Ticket: If your issue was prematurely closed, you might want to reopen your ticket through the Microsoft Support website, explaining the situation clearly to ensure it's handled appropriately.
    • Provide Feedback: Use Microsoft's feedback mechanisms to report your experience. This not only helps in resolving your issue but also aids in improving their support system for future users.

Microsoft values your experience and continually works to improve its support services. Thank you for your patience.

Let me know if you need further assistance. Best regardsDerrick Qian | Microsoft Community Support Specialist
