Regarding your question, many community users have recently provided feedback regarding the inability to sign in to their Microsoft account in Microsoft Apps, such as the EDGE browser.
You can try to sign in to your Microsoft account using a mobile browser, add a Microsoft Mobile Authenticator, and try to sign in to your Microsoft account in the EDGE browser again to complete the account sign-in via the mobile authenticator.
