    Press Ctrl + Shift + Esc to open Task Manager.

    Find Windows Explorer.

    Right-click on it and select Restart.

    ======

    Right-click on the taskbar and choose Taskbar settings.

    Scroll down to “Taskbar behaviors.”

    Make sure “Automatically hide the taskbar” is checked.

    Hi, thanks for reaching out.

    First, go to Settings > Personalization > Taskbar, then turn “Automatically hide the taskbar in desktop mode” to On. If it's already on, try restarting Windows Explorer: press Ctrl + Shift + Esc, right-click Windows Explorer, and choose Restart.

    If the taskbar still doesn’t hide, check if any app needs attention (flashing or showing a notification), as this can stop auto-hide from working. Let me know if it works!

    Regards,

    Arlene D.
