B2B is setup on both organizations correctly as per MS support case that I opened. Engineer said to reach to Azure support as still getting this error when trying to share a teams channel:

We can't add the users to the channel. To add an external user to the channel, please finish setting up B2B Direct Connect in MS Entra.

    Dear Chris Labriola Admin

Good day. Thank you for reaching out to Microsoft Q&A Forum. We are happy to help you!

Based on your description, you can see the acritical: B2B Direct Connect in Microsoft Entra

This error occurs because Microsoft Teams requires B2B Direct Connect to be properly set up between the two organizations in order to share a channel with external users.

Although you've configured B2B correctly based on Microsoft’s guidance, sharing a Teams channel also requires enabling B2B Direct Connect in Microsoft Entra (formerly Azure AD)

As forum moderators, we don’t have access to the detailed logs or backend systems needed to troubleshoot this effectively due to privacy and security constraints. For that reason, the most efficient solution would be to contact Microsoft’s Azure support team directly.

In this case, please raise a support ticket directly with Microsoft Azure via the Azure Portal or at https://azure.microsoft.com/en-us/support/create-ticket/. When submitting the ticket, kindly include the following details:

    • A clear description of the issue
    • Subscription ID
    • Related service name
    • Time the issue occurred
    • Troubleshooting steps already taken

Regards to your Azure related issues, except for creating ticket via Azure portal, you could also feel free to use this Q&A to get support accordingly.

After you create an Azure support request, you can manage it in the Azure portal

Your understanding and co-operation are highly appreciated. Thanks for your precious time. Have a nice day!
