How do we disable prompts to install M365 Copilot in Outlook for Mobile?

As an Outlook Mobile user, I want to know how to remove the "Install M365 Copilot" nag that pops up every time I try to preview any kind of document that Outlook can already open as a preview/view-only view. I have no intention of editing documents on a small screen, so this is just adding more taps to what was a simple process of previewing a document in past versions of Outlook Mobile.

Example

  1. Get an email with a PDF attachment
  2. Tap to preview the attachment
  3. Nag to install M365 Copilot app pops and takes up bottom 1/3 of screen. Every time.
  4. Dismissing the nag just replaces it with an "Open M365 Copilot" button, which also cannot be hidden/removed/dismissed.

I can understand Microsoft offering this once, for awareness, but this is a dark pattern advertisement for unwanted solutions to solve problems that don't even exist.

    Hi Paul McGurn,

Good day to you! Thank you for posting to Microsoft Q&A.

Regarding to your concern, Microsoft has intentionally integrated Copilot prompts into Outlook Mobile as part of its broader AI strategy. While this helps unify the experience across devices, it unfortunately adds friction for users who simply want to preview documents. At this time, there’s no way to disable the banner on mobile, but feedback is being collected and a new setting to hide Copilot entry points is rolling out gradually. For now, using OWA or desktop Outlook may offer a cleaner experience.

At present, we have no other better methods to provide you with to fix this problem. I suggest that you may need to submit your problem in the Ideas · Community. While our community team can’t directly implement feature changes, your feedback is invaluable—and here’s how you can ensure it reaches the right team:

How to Submit Your Suggestion to Microsoft:.

    1. Visit the Microsoft Feedback Portal:
