Home user here. I haven't seen an opportunity to enroll in the Windows 10 Extended Security Updates (ESU). I have run Windows Update daily - still nothing yet. No link to enroll appears.
I'm running Windows 10 Pro and am not able to update to Windows 11 due to hardware problems, want to enroll in the ESU program - but where is my link to enroll?

WHEN will it appear to me? I have tried calling Microsoft a few times and never can get to speak to a real person ask questions. Thanks.
I would also like to ask what if we get through August and still no link to, or installment wizard, ever appears in Windows Update?

I have the same question as Julia above. What happens if we get through August and ESU link or Wizard does not appear in Windows Update?

Still no link and my computer meets the requirements. I have contacted Microsoft support several times but had no posifitive results. Yesterday, 08/18/2025 on the phone for hours mostly waiting one hour at a time for the next person. The last person for Support could not help me. She said she is having the same issues with her own computer to enroll in ESU. She said to check daily for the link to appear. humm...
One thing that might help somewhat is 0Patch. It patches many different programs including some Microsoft programs. Their site is https://0patch.com/ . It is not a substitute for ESU but would be a good supplement to it. And if we never get ESU (stranger things have happened), 0Patch would be at least some protection.

Hi! The ESU enrollment link is rolling out in waves during July 2025 to Windows 10 version 22H2 devices, with broad availability expected by mid-August 2025. If you don’t see it yet, that’s normal. It first appeared for Windows Insiders and is gradually lighting up for everyone else

I tried to call as well, but didn't even get as far as you did. Just caught in an infinite phone loop.
**Today, August 20th, I did get the enrollment wizard for the ESU in Windows Update!

It only offered me one way to sign up. The pop-up window says that because I already back-up my PC that I can enroll for free. I would have paid the $30.00 for the year, because that way you have that charge showing in your Microsoft Account along with other subscriptions. It could have been used for "proof" of enrollment.
8/26/2025 still NO ESU enrollment link! What's the deal?
