Cell phone email issue

My email was logged off. I had to change the PW and am able to get email from my computer. I used the same PW on the cell phone and am getting message to see

    How do you check your email on your cell phone? On web browser, or via an app?

    Is this an outlook/hotmail addres, or a work/school email address?

    Just to make sure I understand, you were able to access on the computer using the new pw, but not on the phone, right?
