Hi Team,

I am getting error "Failed to Send" while sending file from any local location of system.

I have already tried Sign Out, Clear Team Cache, and restart the laptop but had no luck.

My colleagues are also facing the same issue.

Hi Nikhil, My name is Umar and I'd be happy to help you out with your question.

Please note: This is a user-to-user community forum. We are users just like you who help others. We are not employees of Microsoft.

I understand that you’re encountering the “Failed to Send” error while trying to send files in Microsoft Teams. This issue can be frustrating, but let’s troubleshoot it together. Here are some steps you can try:

    1. Check Internet Connectivity: A weak or unstable internet connection can cause upload failures. Ensure you have a strong and stable connection. Run an internet speed test to confirm.
    2. Verify File Size:
Microsoft Teams has file size limitations. Check if the files you're trying to upload exceed the limit (typically 250MB for free accounts and 1TB for Business/Enterprise plans). Try uploading smaller files or splitting large ones.
    3. Try Different File Types:
There might be temporary issues with specific file formats. Try converting the file to a different format (e.g., PDF to JPG) and uploading again.
    4. Check Teams Service Status: There might be an ongoing outage with Microsoft Teams. Visit the Microsoft 365 Service Status portal (https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoft-365/enterprise/view-service-health?view=o365-worldwide) and check for any reported issues with Teams.
    5. Update Teams App: An outdated Teams app might have bugs causing upload issues. Update the app to the latest version and try again.

By trying these steps systematically, you should be able to identify the cause of the "Failed to Send" error and resume file sharing within Teams.

I hope this information is helpful. Please let me know if you have any other questions.
