Teams In-Call Dial Pad Tones

My employer recently switched from Skype for Business to Microsoft Teams for desktop phone. When in a call and using the dial pad, the tones play over the general computer speaker, instead of the headset. They also play on a delay from my typing into the dial pad field. I do not want to change the audio device for the notifications. I need Teams notifications to play over the computer, because I do not wear the headset when off the phone. Is there a way to turn off these dial pad tones/sounds?

    Hello MC_478,

I'm Ibhadighi and I'd happily help you with your question. In this forum, we are Microsoft consumers just like yourself.

Yes, you can turn off the dial pad tones in Microsoft Teams:

    1. Open Microsoft Teams.
    2. Click on your profile picture at the top right.
    3. Select 'Settings'.
    4. Go to 'Devices'.
    5. Under 'Audio devices', you should find an option related to dial pad tones.
    6. Uncheck or toggle off the option to disable the tones.

Please note that the exact navigation and options can vary slightly based on the Teams version or updates. If you can't find the option, it might not be available in the current version you are using. In that case, you may need to check for software updates or reach out to your IT department for assistance.

    I hope this helps.

    Best Regards, Ibhadighi

Unfortunately, this option does not appear in my Devices or Calls settings. I have placed an image of the version and settings information below.
