Resetting a Team created through the SDS

Hi there,

I am hoping that someone might be able to advise: We have class teams created through the SDS (API version) for our school environment. This works well, but we have a new set of students for a new term (semester) and the result is a very mixed up Team and Class Notebook. I.e. the students are correct for the new team, but we do not want the posts in the teams channels and we do not want all of the 'old' student sections in the Class Notebook. Is it possible to 'reset' the Team in some way? I.e. for the SDS sync to link to a new team? In a perfect world, we would retain the old team as well (possibly expired) so that all of the old files and assignments can be reused.

Any advice would be very much appreciated!

Many thanks!

    Hello Darren,

My name is Joanna, I’ll be happy to help you out today.

Hope the link below will provide the solution and answer to your query on Term transition and expired class management.

You may check the following based on your concerns.

    1. Run cleanup actions
    2. Delete the expired sync profile
    3. Sync the new term

Please let me know if this doesn't work or if you need further assistance.

    Thank you.

    Hi Joanna,

Thank you very much. It sounds like I might be able to achieve the desired outcome by expiring the group and then running the sync again(?) I will attempt this approach and revert.

    Many thanks
