Teams Desktop error. "The specified list is invalid", "the specified list might have been deleted or you might not have permission to view it"

Goodday,

I am using Windows 10 and MS Teams Desktop app. When I tried to open the file that belongs to a Private channel, Private team, I get this error. even I sign in my acct in ms team web in google chrome and Microsoft edge.

then I tried opening my sister acct. (we're not on the same team), there is no error in it.

I asked my classmates (we're on the same team) if the same error occurs also to their ms team, they said theirs are fine.

what shall I do? I am worried because our semester just started, and there are important files/modules I need to download to study it.

Thank you for answering my concern.

    Hi Glaiza Soriano,

    Welcome posting in the forum.

Normally, teams file restore in Sharepoint site, so we suggest you to check out directly in Sharepoint site if you can see those files.

Also, we suggest you contact file owner to check the file permissions. Besides, you can ask the team owner to create a new channel, check if the same issues happen in the new private channel?

    Regards,

    Grace
