Microsoft Tasks by Planner wont let me scroll over to the add a bucket button. I have reset my computer, tried going to my teams in the browser instead and still have the same issue. no matter of filters or changing views works. it will even cut my last bucket I have in half and not let me see the entire bucket. Please help us fix this as we use this everyday.

    Dear Jordan,

Greetings! Thank you for posting in the Microsoft forum.

When you say you can’t scroll over to the add a bucket button, may I confirm if you can’t scroll using the horizontal bar or using the arrow key on the keyboard?

Please check if you can add a new bucket or scroll over the existing buckets in Planner. For this, go to https://tasks.office.com sign in with your work or school account if required, open any plan, and verify if you can scroll. This will help us confirm if the issue is in the Tasks by Planner and To Do in Microsoft Teams app or Planner itself has this issue.

Besides, please with your colleague to verify if they have the issue.

We will look forward to your reply. Stay safe and stay healthy.

    Sincerely,

    Hi,

I don't mean to hijack. We are having exactly the same problem.

We have a planner with 23 buckets, but we can only scroll right far enough to see the 21st one while in 'board' view. 22 and 23 are not visible unless we zoom out to see everything at once.

Worked fine up until yesterday. Now it is affecting every computer onsite, and our other planners with similar numbers of buckets.

Changing to the other two views, puts the buckets on the right of the screen and allows you to scroll vertically as a temp work around to access all buckets.

    Thanks

The reply was not very helpful. There seems to be an Error with the Horizontal Scroll bar in PLANNER - that it only goes across to a certain extent.

This presents for me when I have a Plan with 11 Buckets.

The Planner view in EDGE only displays the first 5 Buckets Columns, and I can scroll right as far as BUCKET 9, but I cannot see buckets 10 & 11, and cannot access ADD NEW BUCKET - which is still off the far right hand edge of the screen, and not visible.

MS seriously needs to (PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE ) fix the Horizontal Scroll bar - I've seen dozens of times this fault has been reported on forums with no solution other then ZOOMING out (so far that at times you cant read the screen.)

The ADD NEW BUCKET option NEEDS to be on the TOP LINE (next to Board Charts Schedule ... ) so it is ALWAYS ACCESSIBLE.

When I use the TEAM view - I can see the start of the 10th Bucket.

This is a SNAPSHOT of the far right hand EDGE of my Screen - which is as far as the SCROLL bar takes me.

    Hi All,

Thanks for reporting the issue. We received similar reports from other customers reporting the same issue, I tested on my end, but I don’t experience the same behavior, I can scroll through and create a new bucket via Add a new bucket button, screenshot below for reference:

As multiple users are getting the issue, it seems like the issue is with Microsoft Planner. In this scenario, we will suggest you contact your tenant admin to create a support ticket to Microsoft. The support team there can take remote session, if required. We really want to help but we don’t have any resource or escalation channel to escalate this case further. Sorry for not being able to help here.

Once you reach the assisted support for the request, they will help you find the root cause, the support there can also contact the related team if necessary. To create support ticket, admin can go to Microsoft 365 Admin center>Support>New service request. You may also refer to Contact support for business products - Admin Help

Thank you for your understanding and co-operation.

    Sincerely,

I went to log a support ticket and start escalating the issue, but today…. I could not replicate the fault…. and was able to scroll to the far right without issue.

Would like to know is SPKV has the same success?

Yesterday, I played around with editing the html and getting the add new bucket to show on far left instead of far right, but it lasted only until the page refresh, but it did seem more logical than scrolling 3 or more pages to the right to find the only place the Add new bucket box appears.

Can I suggest this here … swap the location, so you don’t need to scroll to the far right to add a new bucket… (…from an app engineering perspective, I can’t believe this ever got up, it’s just a poor design.)
