When on Teams and my video is off when the host is switching screens I can see myself as if my camera is on but its off

So as the trainer is switching screens maybe from a video of himself to a word document or similar I can see myself momentarily when he is changing what is on his screen and sometimes other people on the call. All of which have usually turned off their cameras whilst the tutor is in flow.

I have been using Microsoft Teams both on Windows 10, Windows 10 Insider builds (Dev channel) and more recently Windows 11 with obviously different versions of Teams during that time.

So I have encountered this problem on both W10 and W11 today.

I am not sure if its a cache image or an actual image. So now I tend to hide the camera to see when it happens again. I am not sure if the tutor can see me but I have set a sky image on my profile so I know there is an issue somewhere along the line.

I raised it with the tutor and he hasn't heard of this problem yet.

    Hi

My name is Daniel. I am an independent advisor.

I suspect tit could be an intermittent issue.

Could you please reset the MS Team app and see how it goes.

Please visit the following article and refer to the section, under the "Windows: Clear Teams Cache" section. https://www.uvm.edu/it/kb/article/clearing-team...

However, if the problem still persists then I do believe this issue needs to be investigated furthermore by the MS Team engineering team so they can determine the best next steps for this particular issue.

I highly suggest you report this issue, If this is a bug normally they will release fixes but as a community advisor, I can't guarantee that for you since I don't work for Microsoft.

Follow these steps: Select Help > select report a problem
