Hi, Deidre!
My name is Didi, an Independent Advisor and a Microsoft user like you.
Your friend can try signing out then sign back in or check it on the web client if the file exists there.
I hope it works.
Best regards,
Didi

My co-worker can’t see an excel file that was shared in chat in Teams. Everyone else can see the file and open. She is using her personal Mac. Any suggestions?

I solved it! (For me, at least).
When viewing the Files tab, I need to hit the refresh button a dozen times to get one specific file to appear (it seems to appear about one in 10 refreshes, then disappears again) - it's been like this for several days. Similarly, when trying to add an Excel tab, it may not show up under available files. Again, pushing cancel and trying again a dozen times finally made it appear.
