I am using the Kanban board in Teams to track team tasks.

It is workign great but I want to be able to manage my onw KPI.

At the moment, I so this manually by Updating a spread sheet

For each Bucket, I record the number of Completed, Late, In progress, Late or Not started tasks

Really I want to focus on the number of tasks opened and closed each week, and compare that to targets.

Is there a way to auto mate this using Power Automate or Power BI?

Is there a way to export the data to an Excel , and then I can use the Excel and Power BI to automatically

Hi Mark, I'm Joshua and I am happy to help.

Sorry to hear you're experiencing this issue!

Yes, it is possible to automate the tracking of your KPI using Power Automate (formerly known as Microsoft Flow) and Power BI.

With Power Automate, you can create custom workflows that automatically retrieve data from your Kanban board in Teams and export it to Excel. You can also use Power Automate to schedule the workflows to run on a regular basis, such as weekly.

Once you have the data in Excel, you can use Power BI to create visualizations and dashboards that allow you to easily track your KPI. Power BI allows you to connect to Excel files, extract the data and create visual representation of the data, such as charts and graphs. You can use the data and visualizations in Power BI to compare the number of tasks opened and closed each week to your targets.

You can also set Alerts in Power BI on any measure that you want, that way you can track KPI in real-time and notify you via mail or other medium if some values are not meeting your expectations.

Keep in mind that creating custom workflows with Power Automate and creating visualizations with Power BI can be complex and requires knowledge of both platforms.

Let me know if you need further assistance.

    Regards,
    Joshua.
