Please can someone help adjust the view of emails in Outlook, using Chrome, on a Mac?

I use Outlook on a Mac and view it though Chrome and when I compose a new email, or view an email, the text is jumbo. The screenshot I've included is nearly my whole monitor!
It looks like its set to be viewed on a phone, so on my screen, it is enormous and unusable. I have the zoom set to 100% so its not that.
It used to be ok and if I can't change it, I might have to set up a new email address elsewhere after 25 years :(
Can anyone help me please?

    Dear loobO(2)

Thank you for posting to Microsoft Community

I understand that when you use Ghrome on your Mac to view or compose a new email, the text area you see is enlarged. And the zoom you set on Ghrome is still 100%. I do understand your frustration.

Please move your mouse over the text area, hold down Ctrl + mouse wheel and try to reduce the size of the text area.

Let me know how it goes and I'll be here to help you further if needed!

I wish you all the best
