    Dear r mendi,

Greetings and thank you for querying the Microsoft Community forum. Apologies for the inconvenience that OneNote on your iPhone 12 has caused.

So, you are unable to create a new notebook on a recently downloaded OneNote on your iPhone 12.

To begin with, I would like to confirm if you can create a new OneNote notebook via OneNote web. To do so, access OneNote online either via www.OneNote.com or the Microsoft 365 Portal www.microsoft365.com and login with the account credentials. This would permit me to determine if the issue is related to your account or the device itself (your iPhone 12). Check out more information on Basic tasks in OneNote for Web.

Furthermore, if you encountered an error message when trying to create a new notebook, please attach a screenshot of the message. Still, attach a screenshot of what is displayed when you try creating a new notebook.

Most importantly, I would like to know which kind of subscription you are signed to: is it a personal account or a business account (work or school account)?

To check, tap on the profile picture or initials on any app on your iPhone (e.g OneNote) and check the email address displayed. If it is a personal account, it will end with @outlook.com, @hotmail.com, @live.com, @gmail.com for example. If it is a work or school account, you will find something like @companyname.com, @organization.edu, @schoolname.edu etc. for example.

If it is a work or school account, try checking with a classmate, colleague or co-worker under the same organization to see if they experience the same issue as you. You might also try creating a new notebook on another device via the web or PC to see if the issue is specific to the iPhone.

Thank you for your patience and understanding.

    Best regards,
