Problem with auto archive on Microsoft Outlook for Mac version 16.92 with Legacy view

I am using "Microsoft Outlook for Mac version 16.92 with Legacy view"
It is sending all my gmail immediately to archive (not after 10 days, 14 days, 30 days - SAME DAY).
It is not doing this with my outlook mail or any other mail, just gmail.
I do not have archiving turned on in my gmail account - or any account.

There is no option I can find in the Outlook app menu or using the "Help" function that leads me to any archive setting capability.

I do not have any rules with this or similar purpose, inn fact In do have strange folder in my Gmail account in the outlook called [Gmail] which was not created by me and where Archive folder is located (again, not created by me).

I do not have File/options/advanced or Archive button on ribbon or even word "Archive" used in the help.
I have also checked other threads from people with the same problem - no solution found.
I do not want any mail archived ever. How do I fix this?

    Dear Rasto Janota,

Thanks for using Microsoft products and posting in the Community.

I understand that there is an issue with automatic archiving of your Gmail account when using Outlook. Thank you for your efforts and attempts. This situation is indeed troubling, and I am very willing to help you.

May I ask if the Gmail you have configured is using POP protocol or IMAP protocol? Can you provide a detailed screenshot of your question?

In Outlook on Mac, you can check if the settings under Settings--Reading--Swipe feature have set the option to swipe to the save folder.

In addition, we suggest that you check your rule settings to see if you have set any rules for mobile mail. If there is, you can disable or delete it to see the effect.

Please feel free to let me know how it goes. If there is any deviation in my understanding, please forgive me and provide me with more details. I am more than happy to continue to help you.

    Hello Addie,

    thank you for your reaction.

    1. I have gmail as IMAP
    2. My problem is existence of that [Gmail] folder itself (why?) with Archive folder in it.
    3. In original question I said, that there is NO rule dealing with something like that
    4. Swipe option is setup what to do I I swipe. (or?) But I do not swipe. So I believe this is irrelevant...

It is often that I received new mail which is immediately only in Archive folder and not in Inbox. So WHY I do have Archive folder - I was not setting it. Why system is automatically moving messages (some?) to it without keeping those in Inbox.

    Thank you, best regards,

    Rasto

    Dear Rasto Janota,

Thank you for your patience and cooperation.

Based on the screenshot information you provided; we need you to understand the following information:

When you add a Gmail account to Outlook, Gmail synchronizes its folder structure through the IMAP protocol. This means that the Gmail folder is the default folder in Gmail, used to store archives, junk mail, deleted emails, and more. The [Gmail] folder and the "Archive" folder you see are not manually created in Outlook but are system folders used by Gmail to store email archives. By default, Gmail automatically archives all 'read' emails to this archive folder, even if you haven't enabled the 'auto archive' feature in Gmail settings.

In this case, you can try creating rules in Gmail or Outlook to process received emails, such as moving them to other folders.

    Thank you for your understanding.
