    Hello DevOps Netstager,

Thank you for reaching out to the Microsoft Community. I’m sorry to hear about the issues you’re experiencing with multifactor authentication. I understand that you are looking for assistance in enabling Voice call/SMS as the default MFA method, as the option is currently not available in the Authentication. While our primary focus is on Outlook basics, I’d like to offer some initial guidance regarding your situation.

As you are using Microsoft 365 business account, please contact your global administrator. With the global administrator's assistance, please try the following steps:

    • Go to the Microsoft Entra admin center
    • Navigate to Protection > Security Center > Authentication Methods.
    • Select Authentication Method Policy and ensure that Voice call/Text message (SMS) is enabled.

For issues specifically related to identity management, I recommend posting your concerns in the relevant community. You can find specialized assistance in the "Microsoft Entra ID" section at Microsoft Entra ID - Microsoft Q&A. The experts in this category have extensive knowledge of Identity management, Multi-Factor Authentication, Access control capabilities and can provide tailored solutions to unique problems.

I apologize for redirecting you to a different community, but I believe this step will ensure faster and more accurate assistance for your specific scenario.

Thank you for your cooperation and understanding. Please do not hesitate to post your queries in the Microsoft Community, and we will always do our best to assist you.

    Sincerely

Feroz Mahmud | Microsoft Community Moderator
