Hello Honglin,
Thanks for raising your concern to the Microsoft Community.
Since the fix involving the "Microsoft Information Protection API" requires Global Admin permissions, and you don’t have those rights as a student or end user, unfortunately, there is only Global Admin rights can perform this action.
In the other hands, I would recommend opening a support ticket through the Microsoft 365 Admin Center. A technical support engineer can perform a remote session to investigate the situation, verify the backend configurations, and run any necessary synchronization tools to resolve the problem. If the issue requires further attention, they can escalate it to a specialized team for deeper analysis.
How to Submit a Support Request to Microsoft:
- Go to: https://admin.microsoft.com
- Sign in using your organization's Global Administrator account.
- From the left-hand menu, navigate to Support > New service request.
- In the description field, you can enter something like: “Something went wrong. [49dvs]
