Removed contact from autocomplete dropdown on Outlook Web, cannot undo the operation

Hello,

I clicked the "x" near the suggested contacts in outlook web. Now even if I search them they are no more appearing in the list (not only autosuggest), I need to type entirely the email of the contact. Is there any way to recover these contacts? Even adding them manually to contacts/favorites it's not working.

Thanks!

    Hi Ignazio Castiglione,

Thank you for reaching out! I understand the importance of your query and  I apologize for any inconvenience caused.

I checked from my end currently it isn't yet feasible to recover the contacts removed from the suggestion list because it is a dynamic, locally stored list of email addresses you’ve recently interacted with. It’s separate from your Contacts and is designed to "learn" from your emailing habits.

To re-add a removed address to the suggestions you need to Send an email, receive an email, reply to or forward an email, this re-triggers Outlook to add the address back to the Auto-Complete List.

Thank you for quick answer..what a pity :( .Anyway, maybe then this works only with emails, as I tried with meetings, even adding the recipient with full address it was not working.

    Hi Ignazio Castiglione,

    Hope you are doing well,

You're welcome! I'm sorry to hear that it didn't work with meetings. It does seem like this functionality might be limited to emails. This should re-add gradually as when you frequently communicate with the contacts as out.

If you have any other questions or need further assistance, feel free to ask! 😊

    Sincerely,

    Albert | Community Moderator.
