Subject: Fraudulent Device and Phantom Outlook Account Linked to My Microsoft Profile

Dear Microsoft Support,

I am writing to urgently report a suspected security breach involving my Microsoft account and a phantom Outlook address that appears to be used for fraudulent purposes.

When I log into my account using my iPhone, I see a device currently linked to my profile — a MacBook. I do not own a MacBook. I only use an iPhone and a standard Windows computer. This is a clear sign that someone else has unauthorized access to my account.

Previously, I consulted an IT “specialist” who turned out to be a fraudster. He advised me to create a new Microsoft account in his presence. I now understand that during that session (he had remote access to my device), he deleted the legitimate account and linked it to a phantom Outlook address. This email address appears as the primary alias in my account but does not actually exist in the Outlook system.

You can verify this by checking: if you try to access ***@outlook.com via a browser like Safari, the system returns “This account does not exist.” Yet in my Google account linked to Microsoft, this Outlook email still appears as the main login alias, and I cannot remove it.

I have also attached a screenshot from my Google account where it shows a Mac device adding a passkey to my Gmail account without my knowledge (June 19, 2025, around 03:42 AM). This strongly supports that a third party is controlling my Google and possibly my Microsoft account via this linked phantom Outlook email and unauthorized Mac device.

Please investigate this immediately. I kindly request:

  1. That you verify and remove any phantom or unauthorized aliases on my Microsoft account.
  2. That you help me recover and secure my original account.
  3. If possible, provide me with IP address/location data or any logs tied to ***@outlook.com, which could assist the police in their investigation.

Thank you for your attention and support. This matter is urgent and has already been reported to the local police.

Sincerely,

*** Margarita

    Hi Margot Makh

Thank you for posting in Microsoft Community.

I understand your concern regarding the security of your Microsoft account. Unfortunately, I can't directly resolve account issues or access logs from here, but I can guide you through the steps to get the help you need from Microsoft's security team right away.

    Here’s what you can do:

    Immediately Secure Your Microsoft Account

    • Go to the https://account.microsoft.com/security and change your password.
    • Use the "Sign out everywhere" option to remove unauthorized sessions.
    • Then, check your recent activity to see if there are unfamiliar logins.
    1. Contact Microsoft Support

    You can reach them through:

    • Contact - Microsoft Support
    • Once you've opened the link, do the following: (1) Enter a brief description of your problem and click Get Help. (2) Click Contact Support at the bottom of the results that appear. **** (3) Click Confirm after making sure which product you have a problem with**.** and (4) Finally, you have the option of contacting an Office Chat representative.
    1. Strengthen Google Account Security (Since It’s Linked)
    • Head to Google Account Security and check devices, passkeys, and third-party access.
    • Remove anything suspicious.
    • Consider creating a new recovery email and using two-factor authentication (2FA) with an authenticator app.

Let me know if this helps.

    Best Regards,

    Lonex P.
