How did I get charged twice for the same product?

In case this question has been asked on here before, I am asking it again because this just shouldn't be. I am referring to Microsoft 365. Microsoft 365 Family canceled May 13. Microsoft 365 Personal expired May 24. What gives? How does that happen? What did I pay for?

Here's the rub. I have an email that I can't use due to memory. The invite only goes through email. I can't accept the invitation to the Microsoft 365 Family plan. Do I have to be charged more than once for the same email account just to use it again?

Just to clarify, were both the Microsoft 365 Family and Personal subscriptions under the same Microsoft account?

Here’s what likely happened: your Family plan was canceled on May 13, but it stayed active until the end of its billing period. Then, your Personal plan auto-renewed on May 24, which caused the second charge. Microsoft treats them as separate subscriptions, so you can be billed for both if they overlap.

If your email is full and you can't accept the Family invite, you're not added to the plan, which means Microsoft still sees your account as needing its own subscription. Try clearing space or use another Microsoft email to accept the invite.

Hope it helps. Please let me know if you need further assistance.

    Regards,

    Arlene D.
