I had a problem with the Outlook email account on my iPad and Mac because I forgot the password and so did an online help with Apple support who took me through deleting the hotmail account and creating the same name email but in Microsoft Exchange. Now my Yahoo.co.uk mail is not working because it asks for the Server when I try to send a message and neither the Outlook or the Yahoo servers allow messages to be sent. Any ideas vey welcome. Thanks.

Hi! I'm Richard, an Independent Advisor. I'm here and ready to help you today!

It sounds like the changes made to your email accounts have impacted your Yahoo.co.uk mail setup, especially with server settings. Here's a step-by-step approach to troubleshoot and resolve the issue.

    Use correct Yahoo server info.

Incoming: imap.mail.yahoo.com, port 993, SSL on

Outgoing: smtp.mail.yahoo.com, port 587 or 465, SSL on, use your password

Remove and re-add your Yahoo account.

Delete the Yahoo account from your iPad and Mac.

Add it again using the correct server details above.

Use an app password if needed.

If you have two-step verification on Yahoo, you need to generate an app password.

Log in to Yahoo online, go to Account Security, and make a new app password.

Use that password when setting up the account.

    Kindest Regards,

    Richard R.
