Ive Just tried to sign into my microsoft account where i was greeted with the whats the code from the microsoft authenticator, i went on the app and my account is no longer on there no idea why?

Ive then tried to reset my password by using the other email which was correct and the code sent whoch was also correct, i was then told i have 2-factor authentication active so i was told to enter my phone number which was also correct, and it stopped working.

Ive tried the other way of reseting password by answering a load of questions about myself which didn't work as a minute later i had an email come through the the email linked on my account im trying to get into, copy and pasted below is what i received.

It looks like you just used the Microsoft account recovery form (https://account.live.com/acsr?mkt=en-GB) to request a password reset for …….. cant put the email obviously. Because you've turned on two-step verification for your account, we ignore these requests but wanted to let you know.

What am i suppost to do i tried to also use the sign in helper which just says, Account check failed Sorry, we're experiencing issues checking your account. How is someone suppost to get in if no method works????

Hello, I know how frustrating this can be, gettting your account back after losing the 2FA application is almost impossible, you try to recover the authenticator app if you created a back up during the set up process.

Here is a smililar thread with a guide on how to recover 2FA if backed up: https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/outlook_com...

Please let me know if you need any further assistance.

    Best Regards

Well, I know how frustrating this is. I lost my access from my Instagram. It had happened before 10 months. and the real pain was it. Microsoft Authenticator is such a bad authenticator app I have ever used, there you will never get the real backup. Just a stupid backup, no code.
