There is a video on You Tube suggesting this is possible but when I follow the instructions there is no folder called Student Work. Please help!

    Hi Lynch Theresa,

If you've deleted an assignment in Microsoft Teams Class that had students' marked work, you may still be able to recover the submitted documents via SharePoint, but it depends on how the assignment and its associated files were handled.

According to Microsoft support guidance and community feedback:

    1. Open the Team in Microsoft Teams.
    2. Go to the General channel (or the channel where the assignment was created).
    3. Click the Files tab.
    4. Select More options (⋯) > Open in SharePoint.
    5. In SharePoint, navigate to. Gear button on the top right next to your avatar->Site contents > Class Files > Assignments.
    6. Look for a folder named after the deleted assignment. If it exists, it may still contain the students' submitted work.

If you don’t see a folder like “Student Work” or the assignment folder:

    • Go to the SharePoint Recycle Bin (bottom left of the SharePoint site navigation bar).
    • Look for deleted folders or files related to the assignment.
    • Select and Restore them if available.

If the file is nowhere to be found and you don't know if it was uploaded into SharePoint or not, please follow this instructions to contact our Microsoft Support Team, our team can help you recover file that being deleted within 14 days.

For the standard procedure outlined above, Office 365 global administrators may need to contact the Office 365 support team by submitting a service request.

Here’s what your Office 365 Global Admin should do next:

    1. Submit a Service Request: The Global Admin should create a service request with Microsoft support to get advanced technical assistance and diagnostics. For detailed instructions on how to get support, please refer to Get support - Microsoft 365 admin.
    2. Find Your Microsoft 365 Admin: If you’re unsure who the Global Admin is within your organization, you can find guidance on locating them here: How do I find my Microsoft 365 admin? - Microsoft Support.
    3. Call Microsoft Support: For additional assistance, use this link to find the appropriate contact number: Global Customer Service phone numbers - Microsoft Support

Note: If you’re an end-user, please coordinate with your Office 365 Global Administrator to handle these steps.

Thank you very much for your valuable time and your cooperation.
