How to set a fixed window size for Microsoft Teams for "Open a new window"?

Each time I open a new window for a chat or conversation in Microsoft Teams, it always expands to a very wide size. I resize it to my desired dimensions and close it, but the next time I open a new window, it doesn't retain the size I set earlier and instead opens very wide again.

Does anyone know how to fix this issue?

    Hi @PHP,

Good day! Thank you for reaching out to Microsoft Q&A forum and sharing the detail.

Thank you for bringing this to my attention. I acknowledge that the limitation regarding fixed window sizes for the "Open a new window" feature in Microsoft Teams is a known issue, and currently, there is no official setting or configuration to set a fixed window size.

Your idea is very valuable and has the potential to benefit many users if it is noticed by the Microsoft Teams development team. I encourage you to send feedback directly to Microsoft Teams so they can be aware of this request and consider it for future updates. By sharing your suggestion, you help increase awareness, and the more users who submit similar feedback, the higher the priority it receives from Microsoft.

In Teams > Click on three dots > Feedback > Suggest a feature

You can also accept my answer and so other users with the same idea can see it easily and contribute their input as well. This collective feedback is important in influencing development priorities.

I appreciate your cooperation and understanding. In the meantime, a useful workaround is to resize the Teams window manually and then open new windows within the same session to help preserve the window size temporarily until Microsoft releases an update.

Please let me know if you need any further assistance.
