    Hi And W,

Thank you for reaching out Microsoft Community and sharing your concerns with us. We apologize you are experiencing this kind of problem using your Surface device.

Possible reason why device no longer on the Device list is the ff:

    A. The device was reset or reinstalled.

    B. It hasn’t connected to the internet in a long time.

    C. The device was removed manually or due to inactivity.

To fix the issue to be able to log in on your Surface RT

Make sure Surface Pro connected to wi-fi

Make sure to log in your Microsoft Account

we can try and fix this problem by performing this step by step troubleshooting:

    1. CHECK DEVICE LIST.

step 1: Use your other device (Mobile, Laptop, Desktop, Tablet)

step 1: Open any browser Google Chrome, MSEDGE, Safarai, Etc.)

    step 1: go to https://account.microsoft.com/devices

step 1: log in using your Microsoft Account you used on your Surface RT

step 1: Check all list of device associated with your account

Device name, Last activity, Operating System, location.

FYI: If your Surface RT is not listed possible reason (Removed manually, reset or reinstalled, offline long time ago).

    1. FACTORY RESET

Factory Reset your Surface RT (Erase all data or keep files)

Step 1: Hold Shift + Click Restart

Step 2: On the login screen, click the Power icon at the bottom right.

    Hold Shift and click Restart.

Step 3: Choose an Option Screen > Select Troubleshoot.

Step 4: Reset Your PC > Choose Reset your PC.

    A. Keep my files – Removes apps and settings but keeps personal files.

    B. Remove everything – Full reset (recommended if you're giving away or repurposing the device).

Step 5: The reset process will begin and may take some time.
