    Dear @David Celi

Good day. Thank you for reaching out to Microsoft Q&A Forum. We are happy to help you!

Based on your description, please kindly allow me to provide some information with you:

According to this document Add shortcuts to shared folders in OneDrive, file explorer is no longer recommended on the SPO experience. But here are some methods you can try and check if it helps:

    1. Verify SharePoint Access
      • Go to your SharePoint site via browser.
      • Navigate to the document library you're syncing.
      • Make sure you can access it and that it’s configured for syncing.
    2. Re-sync the Library
      • In SharePoint, click “Sync” to re-establish the connection.
      • If prompted, allow OneDrive to open and start syncing.
    3. Check File Path and Naming Rules
      • Ensure file paths are under 400 characters.
      • Avoid illegal characters like <>:"|?* in file or folder names.
      • File size must be under 15GB.
    4. Unlink and Re-link OneDrive
      • Go to OneDrive settings > Account > Unlink this PC.
      • Then re-sign in and set up sync again.
For reference: Unlink and re-link OneDrive
    5. Clear Sync Conflicts
      • Move problematic files out of the sync folder temporarily.
      • Let OneDrive sync complete, then move them back.
    6. Permissions Check
      • Ensure other team members have access to the SharePoint folder.
      • Check if the folder is shared properly in Teams and SharePoint.

If the issue still persists, I recommend you try the following methods.

    1. If there are massive folders, create more channels in the Teams and spread this out, then sync the channel in the Teams.
    2. Use the Move Function to move a file to OneDrive and then once edited move it back
    3. In Teams use the pinning function to pull out the document from the stack
    4. Add Shortcut to OneDrive: Add shortcuts to shared folders in OneDrive

Please feel free to reply below if you have any update or further concern.

Your understanding and co-operation are highly appreciated. Thank you for your precious time. Have a nice day!
