hi, i often use my laptop closed on a dock. So i want to use an external fingerprintsensor with the hadrware id :

USB\VID_2541&PID_0236&REV_0200

USB\VID_2541&PID_0236

Windows 11 does not install the driver automatically. The search does not find a driver. Windows Update does not find a driver.

I have uninstalled the device via device manager and tried again and again.

The manufacturer says, it has to be installed automatically by windows.

What can i do?

thanks a lot

Chris

I have solved the Problem by my self. I found the working driver here:

    https://www.catalog.update.microsoft.com/Search.aspx?q=VID_2541%26PID_0236

You can extract the file with an zip tool, and install the driver via device manager.

This works for an WA28, CS9711, Jianboland, Chipsailing based fingerprintreader.

    regards

    Chris
