    Hello @Math Zhany

Thank you for posting your question in the Microsoft Q&A forum.

I understand how inconvenience this issue can be.

If this error happens when you want to use this app with attachments, you can try to disable the Require Attachment setting

    1. Open Microsoft Teams.
    2. Go to the Approvals app.
    3. Click on “New Approval Request” or open an existing custom template.
    4. In the template editor:
      • Locate the “Attachment” field.
      • You’ll see a toggle labeled “Required Attachment”.
      • Turn this toggle off to make attachments optional.
    5. Save the template.

    Notes:

This toggle is only available in custom templates.

    • In basic/default approval requests, attachments are optional by default.
    • If you don’t see the toggle, make sure you're editing a custom template and not a default one.

If you're not using attachments, you can try these additional steps:

Remove Inactive Approvers from the Template

    1. Open Microsoft Teams.
    2. Go to the Approvals app.
    3. Click on the template you’re using.
    4. In the Approvers section, look for any names that show errors or are marked as inactive.
    5. Remove those users from the list.
    6. Save the template and try sending the approval again.

    Re-log In Affected Accounts

If the approver is still part of the organization but facing issues:

    1. Ask them to sign out of Microsoft Teams.
    2. Clear their Teams cache (optional but helpful).
    3. Have them sign back in using their organizational account.
    4. Confirm they can access the Approvals app and receive requests.

Grant Read Permission to the asyncoperation Table

This resolves the error where approvals fail due to missing permissions in the backend system (Dataverse).

    1. Go to: Power Platform Admin Center
    2. Select: Environments
    3. Choose the environment where the error occurs.
    4. Navigate to:  Settings > Users + permissions > Security roles
    5. Click “See all” to view all roles.
    6. Find Approvals Administrator, click the ellipsis (...), and select Edit.
    7. In the role editor:
      • Search for asyncoperation (also known as System Job).
      • If it’s not visible, click “Show all tables”.
    8. Update the Read permission to “Organization” level.
    9. Save the changes.

    Friendly Tips:

    • Switch to another device and platform (like Teams on the web) to see if this issue still persists.
    • Update Teams to the latest version.
    • Check if your internet connection is stable, a weak connection can cause this issue.

If none of the suggestions work, please verify if you're using Teams with a personal account(gmail, hotmail, yahoo,...) or a work/school account(usually comes with a company or school name). This will help providing the accurate solution for your issue.

Please understand that our initial response does not always resolve the issue immediately. However, with your help and more detailed information, we can work together to find a solution.
