Salutations. I recently received a replacement device after breaking my phone only to discover that Microsoft Authenticator ended password support. An MSN article mentioned password management migration to Edge. I don't see my passwords saved to Edge. When I try to export in the Authenticator app I receive a technical error.

Hello, thank you for reaching out to Microsoft Q&A.

Yes, according to the Microsoft article below,

    • During July 2025, you will not be able to use autofill with Authenticator.
    • From August 2025, your saved passwords will no longer be accessible in Authenticator.

    Reference:

    Changes to Microsoft Authenticator autofill

Have you successfully signed in with your recovery email account on the Authenticator app on your new mobile device?

However, you can access the passwords through the Microsoft Edge web browser. All your passwords are automatically synced to your Microsoft account. If you're trying to access them via Edge browser on your mobile device, go to Settings on your browser, select your profile picture, and click Passwords. You should be able to access your passwords there. If you don't see your passwords, ensure you're signed in with the correct Microsoft account on the Edge browser.

On the Microsoft Edge web browser on your computer, you can go to edge://wallet/passwords to access your passwords. Use export option from there.

Let me know if you still need more help.
